For everyone who's interested in Nikon lenses and/or 3rd party lenses, I've made a list with a huge number of links to reviews, ratings, press releases, and all kind of interesting articles about lenses.

I started making this list a few weeks ago, because I was looking for this kind of info myself. I posted it on the forum too, getting nice responses and also new links. Thanks to you all for that!!

I kept on working on the link list, which became too long to put it in a post on the forum now. So I made a small website for it, which is online now.
You can find the Nikon Lens Link Collection at:

http://home.zonnet.nl/famwakker/nikonlinkslenseswelcome01.htm

Take a look and if you like it, you can bookmark it for further use.
I hope it will be usefull for a lot of you, like it is for me.

If you have any suggestions on new links, for improvement of this list, please let me know. I'm interested in your ideas and suggestions.

Kind regards,
Jan

First of all, thank you all for your compliments and most of all for vissiting my link pages. I hope it wiil have the same good use for you, as it does for me.

Within 11 hours after posting the link here in this forum, the stats show nice figures: Already 761 pageviews, from 221 unique visitors, out of over 30 different countries. (My stats program can't show more than 30 countries, so it will be even more.)

I hope it brings you to the info you are looking for.
Every time you are interested in maybe a new lens.
And who isn't, every now and than......

Kind regards,
Jan

An excellent central resource for those poor souls (like me) who suffer from permanent lens lust.

Just a small suggestion. How about a straw poll for users to tick their favourite lenses, not based on weighty scientific data, just " I like this one. period "

Looks like a nice idea. I will need a script for that, which I can personalize for this, to include it.

It has to be one that works automatically. Is there a script like that somewhere? Freeware and also understanable for a non-expert on site building, like me?

Would it also be possible for voting in different catagories: wide zooms, mid zooms, tele zooms, and the same for primes. And that for both Nikon and 3rd party lenses separately? In just one script? Wow, I'm asking a lot...

Very useful!

Thanks very much for this - I maintain a Nikon FAQ on another site and have added this to the lens section of that, if that's ok with you.

Hi Bibi0012,
He has a tendancy to review something he either doesn't have or not
yet released.. I just read his review of 17-50 f2.8...

http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/1755.htm

Ha... What a funny guy!
Puting someones link into a list doesn't have to mean that I always agree with his opinion. Ken sometimes hits the nail right on the head, but not always. Sometimes he writes a "review" which seems to be based on just a "hands on", but he always tells this. And he has "an issue" with focussing problems with his D100. Well, he will not be the only one, quallity issues do excist with both lenses and bodies. From any brand......

Jan

Thanks!!!

And sure, it's ok to put the link on another site/forum, as long as you mention me too. ;-))

The more people using this list with pleasure, the better.

Isn't this what forums are for?
Helping each other?

That's why I like the DPreview forum so much!

Kind regards,
Jan

Hi Connie,
Very comprehensive; what a lot of work. It's now a bookmark. Connie

Thanks!!

You are right, it is a lot of work........

But it's also very convenient, to have all those links together.

And..., it's a nice thought that other people are able to use it too. And I get the impression that it will be used by much more people than I thought.

Kind regards,
Jan
