I have a epson 1160 that is running piezo quad-tone inks and getting wonderfull prints. I have a 750 with (missupply.com) dye based inks and getting great prints for promos and pictures of my kids etc. but not archival. I have a 2000p that I have been doing fine art exhibition prints with and recently went to the CIS system (nomorecarts.com) and purchased Cones pigmented archival inks (inksupply.com) so I could continue to do fine art prints. However the yellow continued to clog and come to find out the inks are defective. I talked to the people at at inksupply and they confirmed that they were having problems and refunded my money. I now have the wonderfull task of finding inks that will work. My friend and fellow photographer is using mediastreet archival inks but doesn't like the fact that you can't print on glossy paper and the amount of color shift under different lighting is a real problem. I have purchased a new CIS system and am researching inks. Let me know what your experiences are.
