Looking for a 2MP camera with good auto capability and decent image quality. Would like an LCD which can give a decent display in sunlight. Which is the best choice of these two. Or is the Nikon 775 better?

I have the HP 618 and I couldn't be happier. The audio is very good and the image quality I find great. As far as the LCD in sunlight it is alright but I haven't seen a digital camera yet whose LCD is decent in sunlight.

I'm very pleased with my HP, I highly recommend it.

A few weeks ago I narrowed my choices for a 2mp camera to the HP C618, Canon A20, and Olympus D-510. Naturally, they all had their good and bad points, but I finally decided on the Olympus D-510. Here are 3 reviews that rate it pretty highly:

I liked the HP quite a bit but the review on http://www.megapixel.net/ was not too positive about the images produced so I finally got the Olympus. I am satisfied with it and am very happy that it is very frugal with the batteries and they last a long time.

HP618 has full manual controls while Canon A20 is basically a point and shoot. I have the Canon A20, which does a decent job. Think the A20 as a very decent point and shoot, and no more than just a point and shoot, then you would be happy with the image quality and ease of use.
