Bag for coolpix 775?

Hello,

I'd like to know if anyone has found a good inexpensive bag for the 775, I'd like to try and buy from a camera store in the us, or order quickly.
I'm a bit paranoid about taking my new camera out.

Hi Wendy, Please check this forum, the entires under "775 Nikon Case." There are some good suggestions there. I went to ebay and purchased a Fuji 1700 case for about $10. (Belt loops, soft leatherlike material) Perfect fit, but no room for batteries and extra CF cards. How do you like your 775?

I went with The Best Things since they are a mom and pop type joint, have reasonable prices, and I ordered an EN-EL1 Battery along with the case.

Thanks for the Coolpix 775 case tip! I've been looking around for the case since I ordered my Coolpix last Friday... can't wait to get my hands on it

I got my 775 a few weeks ago. I walked into Wal-Mart and found a case that is a near-perfect fit. It's nylon with a velcro-secured flap over the top, has a belt loop and also a small web pouch on the side that is just the size of an extra battery. It's made by Ambico (Part No. P-2050) and I think it cost about $8.00 (no shipping!!).

I got one of the Ambico (Part No. P-2050) cases at Wal Mart also and it just fits the 775 - price was under $5 at my WM. It has a little side pouch where an extra battery will fit, but the case is deep enough for an extra battery to also fit in the bottom of the case underneath the 775.

TheBestThings.com carries a case made specifically for the 775. I called their 800 number and spoke to a very friendly customer support rep who actually went and pulled the item so she could describe it to me. She said it had a zipper along the top and some sort of small pocket inside where you could possibly fit a battery or CF memory. She said the 775 case was different than their 880 case.

I still haven't found THE camera case for this camera. TheBestThings.com made it sound like the 775 case is REALLY small and you couldn't fit much else other than the camera. The 880 case advertises that it has a zippered compartment for a battery and CF memory.

I too found the little AMBICO in the camera dept at WalMart for under $5. I like the way you can get it on and off your belt quickly without having to take your belt half off--very convenient for travel. It is also nice not having the Nikon logo blazing out TOURIST and getting street thieves excited. The camera is snug with just room for a few things in the bottom or the pouch.

Is it pocket sized? I got a temp case, but it's just a little too big to fit in a jacket pocket.
