Hi all. I saw it mentioned somewhere in here (I think it was SMBooth and RayK), that one can use the raynox adapter plus a 52mm lens hood for the C-7070. I also heard that if you had a filter screwed onto the lens and another screwed onto the raynox, the two would hit each other, resulting in a lens error. What I'm wondering is if I had a filter screwed onto the lens and a lens hood on the raynox, would the same kind of problem occur?

Here is a description of the lens hood I am wanting to use:

Raynox Lens Adapter Tube for Olympus C5060 & C-7070 Digital Camera

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help on this!

Thank you for your quick answer Booth! So which would you suggest, filter on the lens or filter on the hood? Are you saying that keeping a filter on the lens should be ok, because the hood isnt as tight a fit and shouldnt collide with the filter? Thanks for your help!

Call me Shane :)

I use to have a UV on the lens, but then I also used a cokin filter system which allowed me to slide in a polarizer and or grad filer when required. In your case I would put and keep a UV on the lens then use the Hood to mount a polarizer/ND filter when required. Somebody mifgt come back and say that you should not use two filters and there right but I found the hassle of removing filters all the time was not worth it.

Thanks for your help, Shane :)

I like your system of using two filters... it was something I was wondering about. It would mean not having to remove filters, tubes and lens hoods unless I was shooting super macros.... so I could keep the tube and the lens hood on at all times except when I needed to shoot super close ups. Do you find keeping the raynox tube on at all times convenient? I find it is a very snug fit with the lens cap, but sometimes when trying to take the lens cap off, the tube wants to come off also :(

I kept mine on all the time, found it easy to handle with it on. I had a Lowe AW30 bag.

I also figured out how to use the Olympus CLA-7 with filters... all you have to do is turn the cam on with the filter attached and screw the CLA-7 in afterwards! It doesnt seem to cause any problems with the filter bumping up against the adaptor because the adaptor is attached after the fact. Any comments?
