F707 *big* pictures

Shouldn't sony leave zoom in the same place as F505/S75/85 so that
you can operate zoom and focus ring at same time with 2 hands?
Just a thought.
I agree, it seems an odd place to put the zoom, especially as it looks like they could have put it where the 505 zoom control was as well as in the new position.

By the way, are you the KD who frequents the Minolta forum from the UK with a nice Dimage 7? :) And if you are, are you thinking of moving to the 707? Maybe it was KT not KD, if so sorry.

The UK Minolta forum visitor is KT. Nice British Woman :-)

Okay,

Addena---

The button I couldn't make out is likely a zoom control.

so if you rock the control to the left you get zoom options of some sort.

I'm looking forward to the 30s exposure with noise compensation---great for astrophotos!

Zoom,
Focus (auto/manual)
AE lock
some control named [.]
White balance, with the manual setting button below it.

One note, something I'm liking--there are two lanyard mounts on the
707, one on the upper right of the main body, and one at the center
of the lens barrel hinge!

There's a hotshoe/ flash mount on the top, behind the pop up flash
(cool!)

looks like the pad for the tripod mount is in the same place.

The macro control has been relocated to the back of the camera. It
looks like the directional control pad is doing double duty, with
the up direct controlling flash, right controlling macro, down
controlling the timer, and left I can't make out (lcd/evf control?)
