F707 *big* pictures

How many here managed to grab the 3 big F707 pictures?
Can't someone here post them on the web and provide the link?... I
have the pictures myself, but i don't have any web space... so for
all that didn't have the luck to grab them!... come on!

They are very detailed and from three different angles..
Someone could upload them to their yahoo photos.

The side view pix shows the following controls (front to back of the lens barrel):

Zoom,
Focus (auto/manual)
AE lock
some control named [.]
White balance, with the manual setting button below it.

One note, something I'm liking--there are two lanyard mounts on the 707, one on the upper right of the main body, and one at the center of the lens barrel hinge!

There's a hotshoe/ flash mount on the top, behind the pop up flash (cool!)

looks like the pad for the tripod mount is in the same place.

The macro control has been relocated to the back of the camera. It looks like the directional control pad is doing double duty, with the up direct controlling flash, right controlling macro, down controlling the timer, and left I can't make out (lcd/evf control?)

Shouldn't sony leave zoom in the same place as F505/S75/85 so that you can operate zoom and focus ring at same time with 2 hands? Just a thought.

oooou Boy oh boy oh boy! This camera sounds ROCKIN' !:-)
I am saving my pennys for sure now...!

Thanks for the info. I wish I would have been able to see all 3 big F707 pics you posted... but I only saw the one little side view of the lens barrel with its new buttons layout. Oh well, someone might post them by tonight.

willyee.
Wow! You da man! I'm getting impressed! You a Sony employee?
You've got the scoop!

Does it have any noise reduction for low light shots to remove hot
pixels and stuff like that (not really very high on my priority
lest as autofocus but nevetheless desired)?
Yes it has newly developed noise reduction system.... :) but it has
no ISO 50 and no RAW mode.. :(

That's much better news! Haven't seen the pictures yet, so this is good information - thanks!

I have all of the images, and have saved the web pages, too. However, I've been trying to think of a way to get them up to a web site without getting in trouble with Let's Go Digital, as they own those pictures! In my opinon, this would be the same as taking a picture from this site, that Phil has taken, and legally owns, and then posting it on your web site. - If you read the (c) information at the bottom of all of dpreview's web pages, Phil has specifically reserved all rights, "in any medium" without his express written permission.

I am not a lawyer....and frankly I don't want to have to deal with that! AND, obviously either "Let's Go Digital" is monitoring this web site (or Phil is wisely alerting them to what we have found here :-) ) so if you post a picture on your web space, you might get a nasty email from Let's Go Digital! Also, if you put pictures in an anonymous Imagestation account (wouldn't that be ironic) you might be opening yourself up to something, too! IP's can and are tracked by Imagestation, I am sure!

I know it might sound paranoid, but in my opinon, better safe than sorry! Besides, the original post on Let's Go Digital said "August 21st" so it might just be a few hours until it comes back up.

Just my .02......anyone care to enlighten with my novice legal interpretation here?

Hi,
It might be a stupid emark of me, but why do you need 'full manual control' ?

Just chose shutter or aperture priority and play with the spot metering, you just get what you want, well afther some time, as you will be able to judge the LCD image well enough.

If quality of the CCD/lens combination equals that of a F505V, well I don't think I do have to think twice. Free choise of ISO, with all consequences for noise of course, doubble pixel count, means 40% better image quality for prints.

Mightbe I first want to see if AF is better, as AF sometimes gives the feel of a 'big fight'.
