After waiting forever for Buy.com to get it back in stock and them never having it and Dell messing up and cancelling my order, I finally decided to buy the Z750 from Newegg.com. I've purchased lots of stuff from them in the past and they are super. Their refund policy is 30 days from invoice date and the return for replacement warranty is a whopping 1 year! Much longer than almost all others. Price was only $368.95 and $5.99 for 3-5 day shipping.

Next I'm getting the BC-30L separate charger from buy.com since I'll get $30 off by signing up for the Buy.com VISA card. Can't beat it for only about $17.

yeah i've bought a few things from newegg and they have some great prices. does anyone know if costco has a better price on this camera than $368 and if i should buy the 3 year warrenty from newegg?

i bought mine at costco about three weeks ago. the price was 399, but they give you a 'kit' that includes a 256 card and a nice case. but they also give you a no questions asked, unlimited time return policy on all cameras. can't beat that!!!!!!

No, you can't beat that. Man that is a SWEET return policy. I am assuming this is a full refund or the option to replace the camera for a working model (some security blanket for the lens error)?

Newegg rocks. I have always had good experiences dealing with them.

One thing you should know is that their return policy is not as good as other retailers. They do charge a 15% restocking fee. So dont buy from them unless you are sure you are going to want to keep it.

Restocking fees are pretty popular these days. I'm not intending on returning it, if anything, I'd switch for another if it ever had the dreaded lens error and wouldn't work again. Newegg gives me a full year for a replacement which is far longer than the usual 7-21 days others give. I'm not a member of Costco and already have a 1 GB fast SD card so the Costco deal isn't good for me.

so you can replace the camera at no cost (except shipping) for a full year after purchase. but if you just want to flatout return it then you have to pay the 15% restocking fee? just looking for clarification.

Also, this costco deal is $399 and you get a free 256mb card and a case. Can you post a picture of the case? also, is this $399 deal all over the US and for an unlimited amount of time? because i still havent selected what camera i want so i dont want to be rushed in buying something because it has a good deal.

I've bought harddrives from newegg.com. but i've never had to use their return policy.

You are correct in what you state. I've bought hard drives and monitors, etc from Newegg and they always ship quickly and when it is in stock it really is in stock unlike Dell and Buy.com it seems lately.

Wow! It's $365 over there now. I paid $385.00. Do you know how long (if any) they prorate?

Where are you looking? Take a look again tonight. It is now priced at $384 but is out of stock. Glad I ordered quickly. Mine is arriving in only two days.

the $399 price at costco is national. the case is made for the camera. it is a casio case and has a belt clip.

man oh man are they shifty or what?! I should have PDFed it when it was $365.95 as proof. I sent them some complaint mail to get a lower price (worked in the past :) and what do they do? Change the price back up. I'm guessing it'll be like that until my 30 days is up. Perhaps I should just return it to 'em now ;p

Heheh........they changed the price back but it would seem he knows that.

Holy Bejeesus!

I received another email from customer service (as I emailed my dispute to a couple of departments). They (newegg) offered me another $25.00 in credit for the price drop. Folks, this is quite literally one of the best stores out there where (online) customer service is concerned. You just have to be really vocal (and diligent).

Total Camera Price: $385 + $5 (shipping) - $35.00 = $355.00. That's not including the $50.00 that I was prorated on a prior purchase at Wal-Mart of this camera, that wasn't taken back at time of return (heheh, not my fault Wally). All in all, I paid $305.00 with NO tax for this outstanding camera (with no MORE video whine!). God Bless America (and newegg :)
