Lynne, why no pic in the comp section?
Hi Kev,
I'm afraid I need to apologise to everyone for some shabby hosting of the
challenge. I've been swamped with other commitments, and haven't spent
enough time looking after the competition.

I just about managed to post a pic into the exhibition gallery, but there was
no way I could find the time to go shoot something for the competition, and
you know what - my topic & I only had one tiny bit of inspiration! (I was
going to do a high contrast b&w of a funky pair of trainers......)

I'm just going through sorting the votes now & I'll post the results
shortly.....

sorry guys

LL

Yea, I am alive and well, and won't be on vacation till 7/19-7/22(tue-fri). I can't buy weekends off up here. During which I hope to be riding some more of the thousands of miles of gravel and dirt roads here in Alaska on my KLR650 as seen on my photo-site. There in lies the only problem of overseeing the voting, as I willl not have my laptop and internet access will be very limited if at all, as I will mostly be in the land of diesel generators and satelite phones, bears and moose, ie. way far off of "the grid" so to say. Of course you don't have to travel far in Alaska to achieve that. There is plan B which has me day tripping with maybe an overniter basing from home where overseeing the votes won't an issue. Anyway, just a heads up.

Thanks for your votes, there were lots of great entries. I still can't figure out why I keep finding myself in this position?? Oh, well.

The next theme for Challenge 9 is..."from my window I do see..."

Like what do you see from your car (be careful if you are driving), boat, plane, train, bus, home, office, mall, museum window etc,etc....

If this is too far out there we can always go with my second choice of "acute and obtuse" in the geometric sense, although Adrianox would be free to use broader definitions ;)

Cor blimey ..... you'd be shocked if you knew what I can see from my windows. At home its sheep (is it the rutting season? do sheep rut? they do something I know....) at work, its some tart who keeps parading around the house in her underwear!

Sounds like an interesting theme. Lets go for it!

Hmmmmm ... a broader definition .... me! we could call it 'cute and obese' !
