What a great group of images. Thanks to all the judges for taking the time to look at all the images submited. And thanks to Jim for hosting this event.

This is a wonderful community for us Olympus fans. I look forward to seeing the CD with all the fine images this crowd is capable of.

Thanks Jim,

Jeff McNeeley

My choice of categories this year kind of put the portrait/people photographers at a slight disadvantage. I figured with 6 categories, most all would find a place for their images. Remember this though, I asked the forum for suggestions for categories. Other than naked women,no other people categories were suggested. If I take this task again next year, I assure you I won't neglect the people categories. Thanks very much to all that participated in this years contest. I had a ball with the images. Jim

I gave my 300 and 150 to some Welshman named Gareth. You may have heard of him. Kind of a troublemaker it seems. Thanks for the suggestions Ian, Jim

Jim, what a great contest. It was worth the effort just to be able to view all these photographs. We reallly have some talent on this forum!

Thanks for all you have done for us.

Jim,

Thank you for the time, effort, and willingness to put this competition together. A big thanks also to all the judges -- I'm glad I didn't have to make the selections! I feel so honored, and humbled to have placed in this competition -- there are a lot of really talented photographers on this forum. Win or lose, photographic competition makes those who enter better photographers. I really look forward to seeing the CD with all the entries. Thanks again!

God Bless,
Greg

I was a tad disappointed that I didn't place...until I saw the the images that did....the clarity, color, subject matter and vision of the winning photos has challenged me keep pushing and seeing.

I really look forward to seeing all the rest too, I bet there are some really first rate images there too.

I am so proud of our group. Thanks to your you and your crew. Thanks for pushing us all to do our best.

Regards,
Lory

I'm sure that Jim did all he could to make sure that all images entered got included in the judging -- that said, I'm very sorry your images weren't included. I know you are dissapointed, and I also would agree that this image is outstanding -- I hope you will enter it in other upcoming image competitions. It's a winner in my book!

God Bless,
Greg

Well, the rules this year were "any photo that didn't win a prize in the last competition", so I am guessing you should keep it for next year.

And I have a feeling before you know it the next comp will be upon us.

Cheers

If I had all the answers we wouldn't be having this conversation.........

I too was humbled. Unfortunately I did not have the time available in my schedule to actually get out and take a "winner" so I just submtted one of the better I had taken during the period (just happened to be a people picture for skin tone).

All of this goes to making me so happy that I recently switched from a prosumer all-in-one to an Olympus DSLR. The quality of the winning photos has motivated me to make an effort get out more frequently and shoot. Congrats on an excellent contest. I look forward to the next one.

Great winning photos - I was happy to see there was a range of cameras used to take the winners --- helps beat back the big equipment snobbery a little....

thanks Jim for all the hard work --- can't wait until next year to try again.

Hell ..... is that what was in the box?

Some package came from the states..... but I noticed it had 'Canon' written on the side..... so I just assumed I'd got the booby prize and binned it without opening!

Time to go down the tip for a rummage PDQ!!

well done, to all who took the time to enter, and to the winners, but mostly to the unreserved kindness, and generosity of Jim, who shows his friendship time and again to members of this forum.
Thank you.
