Hey

Does anyone know a good place to get a powerbook? I don't want to get one on-line. Is there a good place down town Toronto?

Can you find your way to Colbourne Street?

Colcourne is one way, running east from Church Street, north of Wellington and South of King Street.

There's a Mac dealer in the first blcok, opposite the parking lot, just before you get to the back of the King Edward Hotel.

By subway. Get off at King Station. Walk east two blocks, to the far side of the KIng Edward. Turn rignt and cut across the parking lot, pass the side of the Tom Jones Steakhouse, climb over the knewe-high barrier at the edge fo the parking lot, look both ways in case soem idiot is backing up on the one-way street, crosss the stree, go into the Mac dealership, spend your money.

Mac prices seem consistent from dealer to dealer; the advantage of some dealers is they actually know the products.

These guys work with photographers.

Thanks. I just realized I know that place. Do you remember what it's called?

I don't know if Canada has any "Guitar Centers" but, they have the best price I have come across. Just a bit of negotiation and hands down, they beat the pants off the Apple store or Macmall. These pro-sound outfits are generally very aggressive with pricing if they have something that you are looking for. It's their business model and they can do it because they have so much repeat business.
