D2H quick view

When I shoot with my D2H, the preview image blinks on for less than a second. How do I get the image to stay on longer?

Don't touch the shutter (or the portrait-grip shutter)... it turns off the LCD.

I used to have this problem all the time. I keep the vertical grip shutter relase turned off so that the heel of my hand doesn't push against it when I'm viewing the LCD screen.
