=Lady at the Pool..(PS)=

Nice shot and in this case the post processing and manipulation significantly adds to it.

Would it not have been better to reduce the saturation of the cyan over the bikini? This has much less water depth and should not, therefore, be the same colour as in the open water around her.

technically yes, it suppose it IS voyeuristic. BUT.... (and there always is, isn't there? :)

Doesn't each photo have to be evaluated on it's own merits? Because there IS a grey area isn't there? Can no photo appear without the consent of the subject(s)? Example: If I take a photo of my wife sitting 20ft away on the beach, and after developing, I see in the periphery of the photo a woman in a tiny bikini....

I guess what I'm trying to say is that in policing these photos (which I don't envy you for having to do - but also which you do get paid for) it has to be on a case by case basis and is subjective. Just because there is a bikini in the shot doesn't necessarilly make it 'voyeuristic' in the offensive sense of the word.

In this particular case, I think a sponsor would BUY this shot - though only edited as well as it is. I can TOTALLY envision this photo being in an advertisement for iced-tea or a cruise line or something!!!

just my opinion :)

Frances takes these shots DELIBERATELY to test my 'gray area', if I delete them he makes a fuss and a huge debate follows, if I don't delete them he gets progressively worse 'but look at all these others I've posted, you didn't say anything then'.

yeah - i can empathize with both of you...

the grey area is a tough place to live....
