Hi,

Today i couldn't resist and bought the E100RS. I saw it in a local shop
and the price was too seductive (780 USD). The reason for me to buy it
was its fabolous burst mode.

Are they any E100RS users out there who already have setup an online
gallery? I would like to see the results of other users with this cam.

Regards,

Andreas

I assume you got that in Germany?
I would love to get this camera for that price.
Was that a special, or close out?
What is the list price there?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Andreas,

Well congratulations are in order....you have just purchaed one of the best cameras around and I've seen plenty (I've had about every camera out there to date and none seem to come up to the quality of the 100. I know it has a lower pixel count but it doesn't seem to make a difference with the 2100 or the 100...they just take darn good pictures. I had the 2100 and sold it to help pay for the 100 and I don't miss the lower res. at all. I guess it will only matter if one needs to print big) I'm sure you will find out that the camera is worth every penny you paid for it and some. You won't be disappointed. Although I don't have a gallery online, I would like to make a suggestion....set the cameras sharpness mode to soft....you'll get much better pictures at this setting IMHO. The normal settings is a tad bit overdone to my taste. I also keep my camera set to ESP and AF focus set to spot focus at all times and the results are just stunning. The 100 has one sharp lens and to me very hard to beat.

One day maybe I'll get around to posting some pic's...but I'm having to much fun taking them. The funny thing is the 100 never seems to take a bad picture.

Well enough talk... have fun with your speed demon. ^.....

Hi...I should have said metering set to ESP. I also keep ISO locked at 100 for most evryday shots. Make sue you set the all reset mode to off or this will reset everything back to default after you turn the camera off.

Hello Carmen,

Thanks for your recommandations!
Because i had a C2100 a while ago the user interface is well known for me,
interesting thing is that the E100RS has manual WB a feature which i missed
on the C2100.

Andreas:

I do a web site for a professional football team in the USA. All of the photos in the "Multimedia" (game photos), "At The Alley", and Cheerleaders media sections were shot with the E100RS. The URL is:

Great Pictures from the E100, I'm impressed! I wish I could get my 700uz to take pics that good, and its a slightly higher resolution. It just shows that Mp isnt all that matters in a camera. And Alice, you are very cute!

I am eagerly waiting for the E100RS from Taiwan, which I paid US$700. All the shops are selling at that price over there, unlike the $1500 price tag here in Australia.

For those who are interested, there are more cute girls like Alice in that website http://www.dcview.com.tw/emei/out-shot/page_01.htm

which are shot from other digital cameras like D30 by pro or amature photographers, I've found them enjoyable too. For those who don't read Chinese, just read the pictures.

If you live in Japan let me know, I'd love to have a model to test out my > 700uz!

You're welcome. I'm the girl in the picture.
Nice pictures indeed, I do have 3 questions though...

1) I see lots of camera's on the various pics, but don't seem to find anyone using an E100? Or perhaps it has an extra lens on it?

2) What are all those photographers doing around you?

3) What is that girl next to you in the car wearing?! :-)

Shawn, I'm sure that with the right lighting, settings and (important!) a cute model like Alice the C700 is capable of taking equally nice pictures.
