Hello there

While the search facility is disabled it is hard to trawl through all the posts to find if there are any answers to queries that have been made before.

When I turn my canon 10d on I get a 'PA-A' code appear for a short while in the top LCD display.

Briefly, is that normal, what does it mean, and are there any other codes that could also appear to represent different default settings or other information about the way the camera is configured (such as PA-B or anything like that)

Probably what I get is completely normal, but I'd be interested if anyone could shed some light on this.

Thanks for any responses.

See p.57 of your manual. If you can't locate yours, search the CanonUSA website, or do a Google on EOS10DIM-EN.PDF.

Thanks... I am hopeless at locating things in manuals. I was perusing it for hours the other night and drew a total blank.

Great use for a forum! Post a request for what page you can find the info you need in your user manual! LOL

;)

[If you believe that, I won't have to explain I've downloaded them for easy searching, as I'm not with my hardcopies when folks here need that 'nudge' to peek into theirs]

BTW Bob, I was checking out your Pbase galleries. Some of your photos are really staggering. Beautiful shots! I expecially liked the 'Valentino' in Central Park. Brought back some fond memories...
