Hi,

this evening i tried to compare S1 and S2 mode......
I made many pics in evening ambient light at home.
ALWAYS less "shaking" with S1....

Then i was comparing these pics (S1 and S2 mode) pics with pics toook in hearth mode (obiovusly same object, same position and same moment) , i can say that those one are better....

Did u see this things?

ciao

I'd be interested in seeing your pics.

Do you have it posted on any site? Thanks.

http://boomzfoto.fotopic.net - my collection of FZ5 pics (I've recenly included a page for Sony V1, Sony T1, Minolta DImageX & Kodak DC240)

I tested it out when I read this thread. When I have it on mode 2 at long zoom, it seems it is a bit jittery. When I have it at long zoom mode 1, it seems it is smooth with no jitters. I now keep it on mode 1 as it seems alot better for me personally.

It depends on your focal length - I find mode 1 great for zoom > 12x (i.e. using digital zoom) but can usually hold it steady enough below that and use Mode 2.

Heart mode uses OIS 1 and auto everything else.

I have yet to find a good way of getting good focus indoors in low light even when the focus assist lamp is in range! That is the most frustrating feature of the FZ5 IMO. Still - lots of thread about focussing issues and the FZ5 so I won't hijack this one!
