Wild Animals,post your best pictures...

These are very nice shots. Just wondering, what kind of len you
used to take these gorgeous pictures.

thanks,
cw
Thanks, if you mean my pictures and not Genes. If you mean Genes, I certainly understand.

I use a 400 f5.6L and often a Canon 1.4X MK2 extender to get more reach. Many in flight pictures are hand held as was #3.

I want a 500f4 for next season.

I was on a swamp tour a few months ago. The guy takes the boat out into the swamp and starts throwing meat to the gators, getting them close to the boat. I was leaning out to take a shot of the guy feeding them, when I heard a splash next to me.

It was so funny because the guy started yelling at me, and I kept going, "but look at the shot I got." The more the people on the boat laughed, the more the guy screamed at me!

Rob, I am glad that I could help. I truly believe that a trip to Tanzania can change your life, and the photographic subjects is so incredibly rich!

Glad you came back with some winners!

Hi Andy:

Thanks for the comment. Also thanks for the advice about 1.5 years
ago. I don't know if you remember, but we e-mailed once or twice
before my trip, and you gave me some good advice for shooting in
Tanzania. It was the absolute best trip I ever took, and I ended
up with some of the best photographs I ever shot.
