Sweet look

Hi Teri,

There are many ways to change the background. You can paint your main subject thru cloning in Painter 9 or in PS use Trimoons techniques or the Wow pattern stamp brushes (found in the "How to Wow" book). Then make a new layer and paint what ever design or use a background you already have. Make a layer mask on your background and mask in your subject, if you have filled the background layer up. Or when you paint your background layer don't paint over your subject. Just slightly overlap the edges of your subject or vise versa. And either smear the edge to blend or lightly paint the edging with your background. Experiment to see what effect you like better. Trimoons tutorials are really good at explaining how to add the backgrounds to your painting too. I highly reccomend it. Also check Marilyn Sholin's painting site out. A ton of information there and very helpful people too.

Also she has some great suggestions for tutorial books on the home page.
I hope I answered your question okay?

Hey there Carrye, gorgeous painting and I love the meaning behind it.

My Corel Painter is expiring soon and I was wondering if you think that I can get the same results with Corel Photo Paint? The reason I am asking is I have had Corel Draw 12 since it came out and with it came Corel Photo Paint. I wasn't sure if it came close enough to Painter or not so I wouldn't need to purchase Painter. I haven't messed with Corel Photo Paint much. Just messed around a little with it since I had it.

Painter is only on sale for another day or so for PSP customers so I need some help on deciding.

I appreciate your thoughts and again you work is just as outstanding as all of the others.

Thanks for sharing,

Thank you Catz for your nice comments.

I don't know about the painter program you are using. Maybe try a new post in here and see if anyone knows. Or email Marilyn Sholin to see if she would know. She is a representative for painter.

But..I would imagine it would work. Just play with the different brushes to get different effects and see what it does? It would be terrible to spend alot more money if you can do the same thing with the program you have. Maybe try googling your program and I bet there is some information on how to use it out there? But for sure start a new thread, I bet someone knows.

Hey Carrie.

I am sorry I didn't give you my email how dumb of me. I had some oral surgery on Tuesday and have had trouble since. I think all of the meds and gas (lauging) has got me loopy. My email is [email protected]. My daughter had a double header tonight and we are just getting in so I will send some of the pics to you tomorrow.

Thanks
