>>>>Voting Thread for Competition 5-Shapes<<<<

i'm not a rule driven individual - rules are meant to be broken.

that said. ive always taken it for granted that the priviledge and duty of participation in this challenge carries two obligations:

1. to vote
2. to vote for entries other than your own

seems to operate very well in all other DPR challenge sites.

Certanly was!

Now then..... lets make certain we get that new theme sorted out for the weekend.
I seem to remember some slacker too a little while last time .....
;-)

g'day Michael
  • this issue is not worth any aggravation.
the oly E-SLR challenge is young, and we are all finding our 'way' - paramount is the enjoyment and 'stretch' derived from taking pics in response to a given theme. while this spirit endures, this challenge will continue to grow.

That is all fine and good, but how is someone new to the DPR forums and challenges to know that, if it is not "written" in the challenge rules. Just because it has been written in a thread somewhere does not qualify it as a written rule. Sorry, there is no other way to look at it, as far as I can see. If that is the way everyone wants to play and have been playing, then someone needs to edit the rules to include that. You want more participation from new people, then think, how will the new people know what the rules actually are???

No flame, just my thoughts on the unwritten rules.

Anyone feel free to change it if it does not sound like a proper rule.

Nice next challenge, Drew. Let's move on.
