Manual adapter M42 made in Poland!!!

Well, you could follow Jorgen Bergfors' orthodoxy, and do an eBay search for "Praktika Screw Mount", but you'd find nothing.

Or, you could search for "Pentax Screw Mount", and find several ;-)

Also search "M42". Lots of companies used (some still use) the mount, and it can be adapted to almost any other mount, so there's LOTS of lenses... some garbage, some great.

All the SMC Takumars (have to make sure it's a screw mount, not K mount) are worth looking at.

Today received M42 adapter, it's build very good quality aluminium. Focusing on infinity, pin blockade (necessary with some M42 lens). It's cost 60PLN - about 20USD. After the 12 of june will be available OM adapter and Nikon mount adapter in price about 100PLN - 30USD each.

Poland it is beautiful country :-)

Indeed. June 12 will see an increase of Poland's export to Australia and the EU where the OM adapter is no longer free. As a side effect, I think it will cause a shake up on the adapter price in e-Bay too. :)

In anticipation of the E-1 to Nikon AIS adapter I picked up a Tokina ATX APO 100-300mm f4 today in Nikon mount. It's in prefect shape and sold for 160 dollars on ebay. How did I do? This lens gets very decent reviews and I'm quite sure that I'll be better off than with my late old Tokina 400mm f5.6 which was really very soft and got bummer reviews by almost everyone.

Now I just have to wait for and order the adapter.

Anyone else shopping Nikon mount in anticipation?

Cheers, Seth

If these Polish adapters work and are as cheap as they say, you could have an OM one on your OM lens, a Nikon one on a Nikon lens, and just interchange without stuffing about,

Thank you Mr. Jankowski,

How do I make a payment to your bank account? Do you have a Paypal account? Do you know the approximate USD cost for a direct transfer to your account? I am excited about the adapter, and very glad that you are making these quality adapters.

I was writing an Email to Poland at the same time about the adapters (and mixed up the forms.

Yep, I plan to keep the OM adapter on my 55mm f2.8 1:1 Macro, and the Nikon adapter on my Tokina ATX APO 100-300mm f4.

Anxious to get the adapter.

Cheers, Seth

Please tell us:
1. How you paid for it.

2. I think an earlier poster says the seller can understand English better than he can speak it. I can understand that. I guess he can figure it out if he sees "Olympus E1 or OM" and finds 30 bucks in the envelope.

3. Tell us of the Material used. The original poster said "Today received M42 adapter, it's build very good quality aluminium."

I would think the material is Steel, not aluminum, but if you could check that please.

4. If you could tell us the pathway to ordering that you used. overseas mail, money order, etc.

Thank you,
Bruce Davis

I ordered a lot of adatpters on behalf of some E1 fans from Hungary, and in some days after ordering, today I received via post.

I can only appreciate the good selling process of this firm.

The adapter fit well to E1 and M42 mount too.

I can only suggest this page, I found there others type of adapters too.
