WOW those are beautiful Lothar. I pick number one. Did you do any pp'ing on these? They are so sharp and clear. It seems the FZ5 is serving you well. But I have a feeling you'd make any camera work to your advantage.

I like numbers 3 & 6 best, they have the most characteristic
poses for the bird. They are all nice and crisp, but a little over-sharpened
for my taste. The feathering looks stringy and delineated;
rather the feathers should have a softer look.

After much comparison I was convinced that the FZ5 was the right camera until I saw Canons new S2. Still waiting for Pro reviews. My question on fz5 is how is macro without the ELPRO2 and how close were the macor shots of the daisy with bee.
We had a Lothar over on the Minolta forum. His name is Ferenc MOGOR. Like Lothar, every pic he posted made you wonder how he could make your camera model look like a $5000 DSLR w/ an arsenal of lens!

You aren't suposed to get this quality from a Panny! And I thought you were only good at bugs. These are fantastic. I'll have to spend some more time with them later to pick a favorite.
