Just used Studio 1.3 to select images for deletion. I usually save the images off the card onto the HDD first but not this time! Selected images for deletion and the whole card is now blank!!

Checked my recysle bin, nothing, tried to recover using the disck recovery software, no files found. Help...................

It's a Lexar 80x 2gb card.

Try 'Digital photo recovery', it's a little program that recovers deleted/corrupted files of digital media. If you shot raw, it'll detect your files as tif but don't worry, select and save then, and afterwards rename all the files to .orf.

Hope it helps :o)

Don't use the card and get a data recovery program.

AS LONG AS YOU'VE NOT USED THE CARD! That means written to it again.

If it is left just as just after you have deleted the images, some of the freware programs can getb the images back.

I'm sure the above is free? But that's the sort of program you'll need.

Did I say it's important that you don't/haven't used the card again?

Good luck

Just a few that have 'some interest' to them that were on the comp when I made the gallery.. my 'best' are 'prints'! I print rather than show (via web).

Although I agree with the previous information, STOP USING, go for a recovery program, I have even experience of being able to receive data from a CF card from two different sessions in a row.

So even though I used the card again, the files (maybe except for one) were still there.

The adviced program I got from convar and was certainly freeware. It installed without any problem and has given me good help in bad situations.

Let us know what came out of it.

Regards,

Ruud

There are many programs that will allow you to recover. Maybe you have not found the right one.

Ian,

Something similar happened to me last year. I used a programme called Don't Panic2 by ImageRecall. Took some time for the process to complete, but I got back all the images that I'd deleted. I purchased the programme from the London Camera Exchange.

Cheers
