...is one some others probably have faced.

I shoot a whole variety of stuff and I have been offered a use 35-350L or a new 70-200f/4 L, or a Sigma 70-200f/2.8 HSM all for the same price and I just can't seem to thing logically for myself. I want them all, but tell me honestly what you think is best for me, considering that I really do shoot a whole range of things.

Sorry should have mentioned -

50/1.8, 28-90 kit, and the surprisingly capable 75-300/4-5.6 USM III

Perhaps I should trade in the 75-300 though, as the store will give me 65% of what I paid for it a year ago.

If that 35-350L is the same price as the $570.00 Canon 70-200mm f4L, that would be a no brainer. Are these lenses new or used? The 35-350 is a $1400+ lens. I would be tempted to buy it, just to resell it for the extra cash. Something does not pass the smell test here, but you never know.

Looks a little beat up. have you used it before? If you haven't you shoud try it out before buying it. (if you can)

...which is what causes my dilema. if it performed as beat up as it looks, there would be no contest. i wonder about dust getting inside it in future though, from the push pull zoom.
