Epson P2000 & How We Upgraded to 100Gb

Hi Mark,

This is great what you guys have done.I never ever thought about the idea.I have just recently bought this machine in Australia. I have the D2H so the HD is big enough for now, but a bigiger HD would be great when I get my D2X. The only problem with upgrading now, is that one would loose the manufactures warranty. Also it is great to know that one can Ghost the HD so that after the warrent period one could replace the HD and save repair costs by Epson if that was the problem. Epson will probably in the near future bring in upgrade options and accessories such as separate battery charger. I am supprised that they did not include it now.

By the way when I bought the machine I was thinking of extended warrenty, but now because of you guys I would attempt to fix it my self.

Mark,

Thanks for putting these instructions and photos up on the Web. We're very interested in your battery mod as well. Cheers,
Joe

This sounds like sonething that should go in the Epson forum, not the D100/D1/D2 forum. Might get more response there.

Good information is beneficial in all forums :-)
