I use Linux as my primary OS, but I have Windows installed as well. I can download my images using a cardreader, but does anyone know of software that can read/convert RAW to other formats that runs on Linux?

Also, does anyone know of any Linux phto-stitching software? I did a quick search but came up empty.

Hi Andy,

Unfortunately, Canon has no intention of making a non-windows converter for RAW images, but you can use the Windows software under WINE:

As for stitching, Helmut Dersch's PanoTools has both Java and native Linux tools, as well as plugins that work in Photoshop and GIMP:

I hope this helps!

Oops, sorry to alarm you, Hank. I have made a boo-boo and showed my Intel bias. AFAIK, Mac is supported.

Are you saying that the G1 doesn't come with a Macintosh RAW
importer? I'm getting my G1 today(tracking number just said it was
signed for!!!) and I want to know if I can get RAW image.

Thanks Paul. I'll check them out tonight.
