Voyeur lens - Some people have too much time!!!

I saw that too. I feel like a sane person in a land of perverts and lunatics.

Just spend a few minutes listening/watching the news.

I would not be caught dead with one of those things.

As I was raised up, not jerked up.

Women should be aware of this:

Notice the 3 sony prosumer digicams mentioned in there. So, whenever you see a photographer with suspicious behaviour, check to see if he's using any of these digicams. If in case, he maybe one of those perverts.

My quote of the month:
  • The pen is mightier than the sword. But the camera is mightier than both.

This is totally overblown. I've shot IR film for years, and have used a 'pre-ban' Sony camcorder for IR. The "see-through" effect isn't all that exciting, and I think it's a ridiculous thing to worry about. But then I use IR for pictoral photography, not because I want to photograph anybody naked. If I want to do that, I ask.

Try searching the internet. You'll find samples demonstrating what results you could get with the camera (in combination with a special filter). It's up to you if you're not worried about it. But I don't think women would like anybody to see what's under their thin clothings they're wearing.

I remember a device just like that being available from Jessops in the 80s. They called it a "Candid Angle Adaptor" or something similar.

Funny how times change.

Not everyone agrees on how far it should go but there's no denying it.

I find this a little naive. Women want you to look... otherwise, they would not dress provacatively, and spend as much money as they do on underwear from Victoria's Secret that you could judge the size of with some dental floss.

Even more so these days with the Britney Spears/Girls Gone Wild craze. The women that voyeur lens gets pointed at - more than likely love attention and are dressing sexy to get it. MY proverbial $0.02.

Spiratone used to sell a similar device called the "circo-mirrotach." I'm surprised that we haven't seen more devices like this on the market. In fact, why not simply build a compace digicam that's deceptive, and actually fires sideways, but looks normal? And why not throw in the "night shot" x-ray feature, while we're at it?

Naive? Though there maybe women who are indiscreet (probably concentrated in your area), it's foolish to make this kind of generalization. Do you think your mom was like that? Do you have any sisters? If you do, I would like to meet them and prove what you've said. ;-p

My mother had a similar attachment for her Minox in the 60s. She bought it because we'd tend to freeze up if we'd see the camera pointing at us (but of course I soon learnt to be suspicious if I saw her taking a shot at 90degrees to me...).

It was difficult to use, though--you had to learn a new set of skills to get your target into the frame.

Dude, I don't know where you live ... but women dress like sluts these days. Jeans are so short they have to shave or you'd see... tops that look like a napkin with a string to hold it on.... They are so close to being naked it's kinda worse than being naked cause the imagination is pretty powerful.

I don't know where you think I meant women in general and as for my mom, your mom, whoever's mom... i wasn't talking about them. But then again, no one is pointing a voyuer lens at my gray haired mother, you know?
