I'm new to shooting raw. I've been using Canon's EOS viewer to convert my raw files to jpeg.

When I do the conversions, I set the the quality to highest, and leave the Pixels per Inch (PPI) to the default setting of 96.

My final jpeg size is around 5-6 megabytes which seems good for printing, but I'm wondering if I should be changing the PPI to something else.

Can anyone give me some insight?

Thanks!

The PPI number is meaningless; all that is important is how many pixels there are horizontally and vertically. The PPI setting is just a number, typically set to some default when the camera or converter runs.
