Poll: Upgrade to Tiger

It is disheartening why some people seem to get some kind of pleasure by inking utterly unmeaningful posts. Shawn, get a life. I have a PC also in addition to my Mac. This thread is meant to poll Mac folks as to their intentions for upgrade. When Longhorn comes available, we will be incredibly interested in your intentions for an upgrade. Until then, we don't really give a sh*t.

I would upgrade now, but I just heard that Tiger isn't working with Cisco VPN yet.

That's a 'show stopper' for me as I telecommute using Cisco/Citrix VPN at least one day a week.

Anyone know when the VPN issue will be corrected ?

Did my upgrade tonight. It took a bit less than an hour, no fuss no muss. I don't think it broke anything, but I haven't tested everything yet.

I've had it installed for 15 minutes and all looks good.

Running it for about an hour so far....
Looks Great...
On fast sites, Safari loads instantly....
So far zero issues.... although a little early to say for sure.
I did an archive and install.

Mine arrived yesterday at 2:20PM and was installed by 3:15PM. Working fine with no hiccups at this point. I did a install over 10.3.9 and it went perfectly. I always run a clean system and even with 98 and XP I always just upgrade over the existing system and never had a problem. I understand Tiger 10.4.1 will be released in early May to deal with some bugs and BETA stuff that came after Tiger went Gold.

I would suggest the word "pathetic" in place of 'disheartening'. Are you enjoying the attention, Shawn?

I'm sitting on the fence here. I know I'm gonna do it eventually. Just heard from a friend that the performance is snappier on his G4 1 Ghz, which is what I have. Decisions, decisions.

I like the live dangerously and am picking up mine this morning at our local Apple center. Going to spend the rest of the weekend playing with it. Well OK I do have some safeguards and will use a separate Tiger harddisk, just in case I have to go back. I beta test just about everything.
