autumn and mothers day and roses 4 pics for comment...

autumn here and yesterday i was in one of our parks which has lovely rose gardens. i want to make a mothers day card and will use one of yesterdays roses. here are four different ones with the fuji s2 and my "portrait" 50mm lens

i think number three will be my card. it was lovely to find it had rained overnight and i had water droplets on the roses. we havent really had rain for 3 years but this shower helped

Three years since you have had rain? Seriously? I can't even imagine that! It rains here every other day!

The pics are nice. Reminds me of my moms rose garden. She has just about every variety, they have taken over her back yard.

no serious rain for almost three years. our creek is dry and never looks like it will flood again. these roses looked so good to me with just a wee shower of rain on them. we went into the country yesterday and you could cry for the poor farmers.
our wet season has gone again with no rain. what a crazy world it is.

Hi Vera,

I live in the Arizona Desert and we get an average of 7" of rain every year
and I thought that was little. Too bad your wet season was so dry.

This year we had an above amount of rain and the desert was beautiful with an abundance of flowers.

Your pics are lovely and I don't think it makes too much difference which one you decide on.

They are all very nice.

Sometimes posts here will slip by without a response for whatever reason.

It's happens sometimes, but that doesn't necessarily mean the photo's weren't good.

Well I for one would have loved to send it to you. I got sooooo sick of the rain. But maybe now that Mother Nature got that out of her system, we can get back to our regularly scheduled drought. ;-) It is nice to have our reservoirs full again though.
