Future Sigma DSLRs and batteries

I am currently looking for a DSLR.

One big plus for Sigma is using AA batteries.
I hope Sigma will keep this.

I think it was an SD9 in your hands.
Someone mentioned, years ago (well it seems like it) an easy way to
make a piece of equipment that would drain the batteries quickly -
as opposed to putting the in something that would slowly drain
them. Do you remember that or have any suggestions?

I tend to agree, I have currently 4 sets of RCRV3 and two RCRV3 chargers. I have previously used NiMH AA's. In my experience the RCRV3's do last longer, are lighter and don't lose charge when stored for short to medium periods .... hence I prefer them and use them (all my NiMH's are now relegated to being flash batteries).

Why 4 sets ? They were on special and when I can afford the power grip 8 RCRV3's will give me two complete sets.

Still ..... one feature of the Sigma I really really appreciate is that if I'm in the boonies shooting and I get caught out when my batteries die, pretty much every convienience store or service station (Gas station for those in the US) in the country stocks AA's and I can get out of trouble relatively easily !!!!

(I count the sting of payment for "landfill" batteries as my pennance for not carryiing sufficient spares)

I'm really hoping they keep this feature.

Cheers....
