Decided to give a few panos a try over the weekend. I'm planning on a yosemite and another big sur trip soon so I wanted to learn if I can do these panos with any success.

First:
13.1 Megapixel Final Image - crop from 1x3 shots stitched
Using 300mm f/4L - IS off
Mirror lockup 6 seconds
1.3 second exposure
I just printed a 13x19 and I'm 100% hooked on image stitching....

Time for a better tripod and a proper pano head.

Second:
27 megapixel capture - Stitch source was 10 images (2 x 5 array)
At 70mm using Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM
Mirror lockup 6 seconds
1/4 exposure

Does your 300mm have a foot and rotating collar? If so all you need is a small video head, the fluid effect is wonderful. Did a 200+ image array at the Grand Canyon, works great.
