Hi folks, I just received my CP995 about two weeks ago and I would like to get a larger memory card. Does any one have any experiance with either of these compact flash cards? They seem to be the least expensive that I have found. Any input would be a great help and appreciated. Thanks Ben Wetzel

Cheaper isn't always better. I've found that out when I was a Purchasing Agent for a college for several years. You need to balance out those features that will serve you best. Many of the compact flash cards have 4x speed. That means when you purchase this card you are buying the cheapest that is out there. None are any slower than that. You should be able to buy one of those at rock bottom prices. On the other hand I've found 128 MB compact flash at 20x speed. That means it is 5 times faster then the cheapest. The speed difference shows up especially when the camera buffers the shot to the card. The slower the bus or path the longer it will take to get on with it. The speed also shows up when you download the images to your computer. If you don't mind all the waiting around, no problem. I found it was worth a few more dollars to step up to the 20x card. It is a burner! Surprisingly, not too much more $$ than the others! World's fastest right now. Also, with manufactures ready to turn loose the 512MB and 1GB versions of compact flash, these small cards are going to become a dime a dozen. They just don't really hold the capacity without compression. When you compress images you ultimately lose resolution and your pictures suffer over it. Anways it's your call.

Well all I can say Richard is my Mr. Flash High Speed 128mb from NewEgg. Works great. Fast downloads and work perfect in the camera. NO problems at all.. Can't say there are not some better but I can't find fault in this one.. Jerry

I'd have to agree. I ordered a Mr. Flash 128 and got it only two days later from Newegg. I've taken a couple hundred pics with it and to be honest, the speed difference for me has been unnoticeable. Like Jerry said, I am sure you can spend the bucks to get a top of the line card, but for my uses, the Mr. Flash is excellent and I plan to order another one. ;-)

Thank you for all of your input. It has helped me a lot. Thanks again Ben Wetzel

I picked up a Mr Flash 128 as well. Does anyone know what to do with a blank warantee card thats included. Without dealer authentication, they could turn down any claim.

Didn't know it came with one Paul. I guess I threw away the package and kept the card in the plastic case. It seems to work well.. Jerry
