Quantum makes good stuff, but their pricing is out of the ball park by the time you buy all the little cables and adapters and accessories you need to make the thing work. It's very heavy; I have damage to my shooting hand from hauling a Quantum/F4s rig around for 10 hours at weddings every weekend. Further, I can't image the frail S3 body being able to handle the stress on it induced by being the handle of the rig on a Stroboframe.

Sorry to hear about your hand.

But all you need is a Qflash, battery and either a pc cord for AUTO flash or a TTL adapter for TTL use.

The Qflash is no heavier than a professional handlemount setup.

Best, Dan

You can have your D12 upgraded by Quantum to the "i" version.

I'm not sure about the D2X.

I can, or you can, call the Quantum Tech Dept on Monday.
