Where is the Pro 1

If you look at those sites such as "Abe's of Maine" , they say will ship in 4-12 days, suggesting that they don't have them in stock right now. That's my point, no one seems to have them in stock at the moment.

How long will you have to wait before it's shipped ? I see on some sites that there is a 4-12 day delay in shipping suggesting that they are not in stock. Good price though !

BESTPRICEAUDIOVIDEO.com has Pro1's with the latest filmware in stock for $600 including shipping.

I first bought a Canon A95 ($283) for my wife and liked their service so much I decided to purchase the Pro1 for myself. Both cameras were at my doorstep within 3 to 4 days from the initial orders. This just happened within the last two weeks by the way. They have a liberal return policy and a 90 plus customer approval rating.

Their phone number is 1-800-982-8273. I usually have dealt with Joe at Ext 102…very helpful and takes the time to answer any questions you might have.

I ordered it on a Friday night and although I got emails from Dell saying I wouldn't get it until late April, lo and behold it arrived that Tuesday!

I have found these specials mentioned on this forum several times and done well on buying at Dell. The Pro1 was $520 using this coupon coupled with their sale price. The best deal I got was 2 years ago when I got a 1D for $2995 when B&H had them for $3995.

You have to check in here for alerts, or the fellow who posted the Dell thing I think said he checks "supercoupon.com" several times per day. Dell does this quite often BTW.

I never answered your question about why the Pro1 is out of stock in many places. It is only my theory, but I do suspect Canon will be discontinuing this camera. I don't care. I needed something small to take on a trip, and wanted more zoom range than I have with my S400. The Pro1 perfectly cradles in one hand, and weighs just enough for a walk around. My wife says I just wanted a new toy. Guilty as charged!

Hey Ross,
I bought mine during that same deal. ;-)
Dell came with another last weak, but it was not as cheap.
I think we got the bottom deal. :)

Since I'm in Florida I have to pay taxes. But still, this was the best price that I have heard here for a Pro1 (Legally)

Dell service is first rate.
I ordered a Thursday, and I got the Pro1 by next Monday with the free shipping.

I can't be any more happy with that purchase and the Pro1.

I won't be surprised though if Canon discontinue the Pro line for a long time.

And that was one of the reasons that make me finally take the plunge, since I was waiting for the second iteration (Pro2).

The Pro1 might have the same fate of the Pro90IS.

I don't understand why they didn't sell more, since in my book and trust me I'm anal with my buying research, the Pro1 is the best of the 8MP bunch, and possible the best digicam prosummer ever.
Sony sold more despite being an inferior product as a whole.

It is obvious to me that with the Pro1 at these prices it is a buyers market.

The Pro1 now could easily be one of the Canon's smallest earning margins from their entire line of cameras, despite being a premium item.

I ordered one from B&H Photo on Wednesday and it came yesterday. They have them in stock for $639.00 and they are a reliable store.
