'get you home' as canon described it. Does anyone tried using high
capacity (eg 2500mAh) AA on it? Thanks

So then the next question is... how long do they last? Well, to
find that out I'd either have to blow 1,000 frames off the life of
my shutter probably, or use them when I go somewhere to shoot stuff
a couple times. Which, if the pictures matter, AA's would be my
backup only... I'd bring the Canon batteries first and IF those
died, then I'd use AA's.
So, it's a tough question to answer. If you'd like, I can check to
see if my 2250mAh batteries will power the camera up. If that's
all your after. But I can't really do extensive testing to answer
how long they last.
