Thanks, I'll give it a try!
Yo.
I put together a small photoshop action (OmniEdgeSharpen) which
only sharpens the edges of the pic with USM instead of the whole
picture. This results in less noise.

I use it to batch-sharpen whole folders.
Anyway, here it is if you like it:
http://hem.bredband.net/content/canon/actions/omniedgesharpen.htm

If you don't approve of my choice of USM (134, 0.7) you can always
change the action to your liking.

Looks like a winner of an action. As far as I know, however, actions can't be run in Elements. Would you happen to have any idea how to achieve the same results with this application?

Thanks for any info.
Denis

Thank you.

I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about Photoshop Elements. I have never tried it. Maybe someone else on the forum can fill in here?
Cheers

I think this action is really cool! I am not to good at installing actions on PS7. Can you or someone give me some brief directions on how to do it?

The Help function in PS 7 does a very good job in describing the process for installing actions, Give it a read.

on how to do it?
place the file in:
Photoshop CS\Presets\Photoshop Actions
or corresponding PS7 folder.

start photoshop, and open the actions window.

If the action is not visible in list, do this:

click on the small arrow at top right corner of actions window.
choose "load actions"
choose "OmniEdgesharpen"

You should be done

Thanks. It is very subtle, I am finding that running it twice is good as well.

For the dummies who can never find the right info in PS CS Help search (what a hopeless Help setup) can you please tell us how to run the action.
