Hello all!

I just got my camera back from service for these issues

Tilted sensor
Backfocus

And an odd issue I had with wireless flash. Everything was ok while taking "landscape" pictures, but as soon as I turned the camera 90deg everything became almost black although the flashes fired. This made me think that there as some sync problem.

Well....in the service protocol it said that they adjusted AF sensor, ccd and flash sync. And now everything actually seems to be alright. I will test it some more tomorow, but it does look good.

Was taking some bird pictures today and also tried some experiements at home.

What a bizarre picture... not in a bad way, I love the timing of the birds capture :-)

Cheers!

Nice one, excellent timing on that pic :-)

Glad the service was successful! How long was the turnaround time? Was it sent to Germany, or repaired in Finland?

Keep up the good work :-)

The service should have been 2 weeks long, but it took almost a month, they sent it to germany. Lucikly when I complained at my camerastore on thursday that I needed it on saturday and sunday, they arranged UPS sending from germany on thursday, it was in Helsinki in friday and then I got to fetch it from the camerastore on saturday!

I'm not 100% sure yet that the backfocus was totally fixed, still checking some things, but there are no problems with the 300mm/70-210mm and 24-105mm lenses. Still a little bit unsure about the 50 and 17-35, but it looks quite good, definitely better than before.

Nice pic,but is the birdie really sharp? isn't the focus just a bit in front of it?

It's impossible to say for sure and the birds are moving extremly fast so it might have moved a little bit away from the camera after i focused (not using continuous)
