I've been busy playing corporate capitalist and nearly missed this post. Very nice work. Does this mean that one day soon I'll also be able to slow down and sm--- shoot the roses?

--Hi you'll,
I've been shooting wildlife since I got down to Florida in July so
I thought I would share some of the stuff I've leanred with you all.
One thing I try to get away from is the bird as a staute shot. You
wnat to get some kind of action in the shot. Eagles will usually
just perch like a staute but if you wait

Patience is important. I like to sit on a bird and wait for
somethiing to happen. I waited on this green heron and he finally
got hungry

Flight shots are tough. What makes them even tougher is the fact
taht the bird is usually flying so that it can get away from you
resulting in the famous bird butt shot. When I see the bird is
getting ready to leave I try to move to the side so I can get one
shot from the side before I get the butt view

With wading birds I try to get some reflection shots as they can
make a shot more interesting

Some times you want to step back some to get away from the tight
shot you usually try for

and sometimes you want to get in real close
