For all you die hard Nikon lovers - READ THIS AND WAKE UP

Hello,
I was a Nikon shooter for more than 20 years. I started out with
Canon as student, back in late 70's but switched to Nikon just a
few years after Canon introduced their flagship F1n with a 6volt
battery. Now Iam back with Canon for obvious reasons, from 2003. I
would liek you all to read this posting from a much serious forum
than this one, with all due respect to dpreview, but
it seems that dpreview attracts much more time wasters and
non-pros, whose only concern is whether their lens resloves 69 or
70 lines/mm and so on.

In 35 years this has NEVER happened to me... Am I missing something?

That person started his thread in the appropriate forum, he did not come over to the Nikon forum to troll. He asked a legitimate question to his peers. For that he deserves respect. You however came over to the Nikon forum to troll. Please go hibernate for another 1.7 years. You were not missed.

Do people have this problem? They actually turn their cameras off when they are shooting?

Wow man...chill out. I never asked to see your sh*ty work (read my post)... I really couldn't care less about you and your "photography." Furthermore, you might like to think so, but a fool like you, who equates technology with technique, could never make me question my skill or quit photography. And frankly gearheads like you are allways the biggest "impotant wimps" around. So rather than insulting people why don't you go learn how to expose. Using a little zone system ought to cool you down. Oh that's right, you've probably never heard of the zone system. Go buy your first camera, troll.
All other replies to my post, which was not in any way meant to be
insulting to Nikon users, just a notice on how Nikon has fallen far
behind in digital, just proves what was discussed in some previous
posts that Nikon users are a die hard idiots and I am glad I don't
belong there anymore.
I was stuuned and couldn't believe myself when I visited your lame
website.

The obvious reason is just one. I am a professional photographer
and Nikon has fallen far behind
canon in Digital. Nikon couldn't develop decent AF for years, and
the list goes on. I am not in any way a Canon lover, and the switch
to it cost me much more than to stay with Nikon and upgrade and
wait and pray they develop a decent DSLR for pro use, which they
probably never will, and will always be behind Canon because
something, and I won't elaborate what, has changed within Nikon
from 80's on, when they introduced an F3, whic was a lousy camera,
then an F4, even worse, and only did they come close with F5, but
the DIGITAl already took over and.......I can go on for hours.
Think about it.
You are going to reply to my reply, aren't you?

Wow, that guy is the kind of twit I see everyday shooting his Canon A20 and thinking "when my camera will be older, it will be a Digital Rebel and then I'll be a pro"

Of course when the guy ends up buying his Rebel, then he starts doing wedding contracts, which include Photography with a Rebel and integrated flash, Video with an old Sony hi-8 camcorder, and also DJ with winamp on his little laptop (not forgetting that he probably illegally copied all the songs, which are not even the least interesting anyways).

Oh yeah... this pro that works as a janitor at mcdonalds during the week also charges around 500$ for his wedding Trio !

Just when you thought you had seen them all, an even stupider troll comes along.

This kinda made me think of you :)

By the way...ask your teacher for some remedial help in spelling and punctuation.

Jim
don't know about you...but I can't understand all the fuss over
this camera. The resolution is OK, but I have seen several 100%
crops and my 1Ds mark 1 blows this camera away both in less noise
and more resolution.
Is Nikon 2 years behind in the digital race?

Just for you if you put your forefinger and thumb together then rub the thumb and forefinger together.

The sound you are hearing is the smallest violin in the world.

As Austin Powers would say Nikon baby yeah
