No advice about the Oly, I have never used one.
I seriously doubt that 120,000 is a "normal" number of shots, but this individual almost got there.

The shutter is a machine. It lasts as long as it lasts. Maybe it will break on the third shot you take, and perhaps it will go to 300,000. It does not magincally stop working at a preset number of actuations.
Buy the camera that feels best in your hands, takes the picture that look best to you, suits your wallet best. If the shutter breaks outside of warantee, get it fixed. If it can't be fixed, then you'll need to buy a new one. - just llike a car, washing machine, VCR, ....
