Tiffen on Ebay

Can someone with the Tiffen 2x take a look at the Ebay auction I've referenced below and tell me if this is the same 2x people have been posting about here. The price ($100) for both the tele and the wide angle seems pretty good, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thanks...

Ebay sucks! Why don't you just buy it from the online store for the $139 list price? Then you get the tele,wide, adapter and case. New. And you don't have to deal with some cheesy Ebay-er. Things tend to be overpriced on Ebay (herd mentality).

They are the same lens I have and paid 160.00 for but with the lens adapter and case. Mine are silver in color like the front of the G1, these appear to be black. Great lens for the money, but you will need an adapter for the G1 to fit.

These are NOT the MegaPlus lenses that everyone has been discussing here. These are the old Tiffen lenses that do not work very well. This ad is a total scam. I don't even think the specs are right. "180 degree high resolution?" That doesn't even make sense.

Uhh, I think not. That looks like the cheaper Tiffen made more for low-res cam cameras. It will work on a digicam, but the CA and distortion will show.

I am in the process of of returning my (similar) Kenko 2x Teleconverter...my 3 megapixel pictures taken without the Kenko converter blown up 2x and croped look better than the same shot with the converter so why bother.

After a little research, seems like the expensive Olympus 1.7x B-300 or.......maybe.....the Tiffen 2x Megaplus at about $90.00 is the way to go.

I am researching the Tiffen Megaplus now to see if its images rival the much aclaimed Oly B-300. If so its a heads up for the cheaper, lighter Tiffen which I believe gives a full 2x teleconvert. Anyone with info on the Tiffen Megaplus, greatly appreciated.

Definitely NOT the Tiffen MegaPlus lenses that have been discussed favorably elsewhere on this forum. These are an older, cheaper, and much worse performing model that you do NOT want to put on your digicam.
