FocusCamera & graymarket

I have a CP990 which got injured and had to go in for repairs. Overuse and need of a rest was the general diagnosis. Well....I've been reading this forum for months becoming more and more intregred with the E-10. One of the things that held me back was of course the money and what I read at this site about the dreaded 'graymarket'. Someone at this site mentioned FocusCamera. I checked it out and decided to go for the plunge. Called last Thursday asked for overnite shipping -anxious for a camera. Friday the camera arrived and the filters I ordered with the camera. There was no high pressure from my salesman -Harry #845. Oh yes, FocusCamera is in BROOKLYN.

I ordered my FL-40 from them.
Very good place.

Someone had a hard time returning something a while back, but otherwise, this place is generally A+.

You have a GREAT camera... I figure it will take me several years to really get to know it... fun all the way.

Good for you. I bought my camera from the but went
a step futher I went to the store to buy it. Save on
shipping. The reason why I went to them I was
in the Pro forums and some professionals where
recommending them.

I just ordered from them last week. Exceptional service from Harry and no pressure. He answered a number of questions and made sure it was shipped overnight so I could get it before last weekend. Sure enough, I got it Thursday. It all looks good. They mark clearly on their web site which camera is the international version (and warranty) and which is the US version. Mine came as promised, the US version, with full kit and warranty. I couldn't be happier, except maybe with a few more accessories for my camera!

I bought my E10 locally, but bought a Celestron telescope from Focus last year. I was very pleased. DavidT.

Glad that you had a good experience with Focus camera. I have given good reports on them here also. I got an e-10 from them and was very happy with the way the sale was handled.

I had lived in Manhattan,NY 25 years ago and bought at "Honest Abes"

then "Honest Abes" Focus Camera, now it is now just Focus Camera, great prices and service, some over zealous sales people try to Make the Sale on every Call, find a sales person you are comfortable with and insist on talking with that person only ! and call back if he is out, get their extension # you will do OK at Focus Camera. I have orderd items they did not stock and came as promised & priced.

You're right! First person I spoke to at FocusCamera was not only pushy but I had a real problem understanding his English. I hung up. Came back to this site and was encouraged by the enthusiasm for the E-10 and decided to give FocusCamera another try. This time lucky enough to get Harry - found out his extension was 845 for follow-up questions. Harry was most helpful Pity a place like FocusCamera might be reputable but some of the salesmen ruin it. Anyway, try FocusCamera and Harry #845.
