I have an S3 that I use in the "mom & pop" portrait studio environment. I love the results but the camera seems real slow when shooting big jpg's and wicked slow in RAW.
I did a little web research and found out that if you use the xD flash cards that the S3 takes, you will DOUBLE the speed the camera can write to the card. This could make the camera more usable in the situations mentioned above.
The new xD cards are only available as large as 512 right now but i'm sure it wo't be long before larger one's become available. Also, I learned that if you have xD cards larger than 256, you need a special xD card reader that can handle the larger cards. The xD cards are cheaper and use less battery power too!
This coupled with a [hope to be soon] firmware update could make this camera REALLY shine!
