poll: how many lost the viewfinder eyepiece cup?

I just lost mine last weekend when shooting ski and snowboard contest

I don't know where is went hehe.

Anyone has lost his already?

how much does it cost to replace it ? I guess this little gum pad is inexpensive.. at least I hope.

...nd up to now nikon did not deliver a new one. (They wanted to call me when new eyepieces where available, but did not do this so far -- for 4 month or so.)

jeez, that sucks. I hope you'll be able to get a new one soon. I'm through several photo shop today and will try to find one. (or else I can pick one from a demo model lol, i've just tought..) haha

For the record... mine was lost about three weeks after getting the camera!

I lost it when I was in Japan last December. I got my replacement for less than US$2.00.

My eyepiece cup went missing when the camera was returned from Nikon for service. My dealer gave me a new one; that one went missing within two weeks. So I bought three (after waiting a month for them to arrive at the dealer); Two months later, I have one left.

I think I am going to glue the sucker on!

on bothe the F75 I used to own and the D70, got me a new one though.

Yup. Camera bounces alang all the time in my camera bag and when I took it out during a concert the eyepiece was gone.

Here is an alternative Nikon eyepiece that stays on. Old "technology" but it works great on my D70.

lost mine 2 weeks into ownership. ordered a nice flat bottemed eye cup off Ebay that fits kinda loose also.....

Lost the original... bought a new one for $6 and glued on w/ silicon as suggested here but just notice it fell off into the bag this afternoon. More silicon I guess...
