OT Baby portrait photography

I'd do a Google search and browse the zillions of photography sites
that cater to little kids. They alwys have tons of awesome shots
and ideas for setups.

Here is one of my favorite sites to view....lots of setups, lots of
mommy and kids shot, lots of fun shots...

Like Feivel and Ingrid, I just shoot away with my grandson, THEN
turn it into something fun............

Feivel,

Your original image went missing while the thread was still active.
I had included it on my version I posted, but you never answered
further and yours disappeared so I though you didn't want it shown
any more for some reason, and I removed mine too. It was cute.
I mean YOUR photo was cute...

Thanks to everyone for posting such great pictures and sites. Lot's to digest!
Does anyone know of a good forum to discuss portrait photography
(color and bw) if the under 5 set? Posing, Backdrops, props,
lighting etc. Thanks!

I'm also very interested in this thread. I'm thinking of pursuing a home-based business in child photography. Here are some of my favorites...

I love natural settings and poses. As a parent, I would much prefer a beautiful candid portrait of my child that really captures their personality than one that's posed. As a matter of fact, since I purchased my 300D, I haven't taken my children to a "professional" photography studio once. I much prefer the pictures I take of them.

There is no friendship, no love like that of the mother for her child.

Well, I can offer up one pose idea.:) Actually this picture was taken 40+ years ago! I REMEMBER when the photographer came to the house to take pictures of myself and siblings. I can even remember holding this pose for him. I've always wondered why this particular incident is one of my first memories from childhood.:) Now I prefer the other side of the camera.:)

"Anywho"....

I painted my studio a different color, then took 199 pics of my
little grandaughter and found to my disgust that I had nothing but
shadows. So I changed the background in one and just posting the
other cause it's cute! Any suggestions on these would be muchly
appreciated:) besides the awful colors!

Hi Ingrid,

Thank you. I have more but don't post the kids unless I have parents permission or need help with one. I need to learn how to do studio style next. So many things to learn.
