Your shots this week.... 1-31 to 2-6 (4 pics)

Thanks Sharon

You are absolutely right. The sunset picture will soon be forgotten while I will always keep the shot of my daughter.

Kind regards Jørgen

I like your city shots Bill. I hope you weren't the one that made up the Fedex SuperBowl Ad. It was bad! LOL

You made me think about how much I have not shot this week. I was busy but I did get a few though. Here are some quail -

The next shot is the new Pier One Imports home office building.
Nice light and hue in that one.

I've been away this week. Headed south by train in the morning of the 31st, accompanied by the greatest sunrise I have ever seen: Mother-of-Pearl clouds over major parts of southern Norway. (MoP clouds are up to 30 Km. high, and can occur during extremelly low temperatures - minus 75-85 C.)

The stay down here has been to visit my parents, who aren't well. My mothers side of the family are from here, and many happy childhood memories are related to this little gem of an island.

We've been taking daily little walks - doc's orders, and tiny photo-safaris for me.

The sample below is a "collage", both shot here the other day. The documents used as backgrounds are all family related old papers, old deeds, receipts and what have you. The content is in some cases touching, and they are all very decorative, IMO. A nice way to go through the old material, studying them as "art objects"

Today I'm heading for Oslo again, and won't be returning to the island untill easter. The seasons first tiny flowers are already sticking their heads up - I hope it means an early spring.

For the most part I had an extremely frustrating and discouraging
week.
A friend told me yesterday -"The trouble with being retired is that you never get a day off."

Good work you are doing and love your signature photo too

For FedEx ? lol
I had to scroll down to see the entire building image.....I kinda
liked the "cropped" version , without the foreground.

Dusted off the 750 on Saturday morning and took it for a walk ,
along with the dogs , at the local park.
The area is an old wine growing region and some of the vines have
survived the urban sprawl.

We had lunch at a popular Sth Oz holiday destination on Sunday. The
food was great and we "dragged" some nice weather.
We were headed home when Mel saw this seen.....those spotters fees
are really eating into my wallet ! lol

cheers all
Bill

Thank you ****,
for your very kind comment.

Actually she got the dress on last Friday because they in the kindergarten had a carnival. That is always a fine opportunity to get it on.
She loves that dress from my wife’s home country.

Kind regards Jørgen
