D70 Prints...how large?

Can anyone tell me how large you have printed with good results from your D70? I am interested in lab prints and those from 13x19 inkjet printers. If you have gone larger, I'd love to hear about that too.

Real world, no theory please.
 
All prints from 4+ megs can be expanded past poster size without too much detail loss. Now how too is in photo shop at 10%enlargement at a time. Also some print or prossess shop will do it.
Oh ya,oops forgot, ya its gone.
 
The largest I have had made were 16 x 20's.
I used MPIX to print them. They were spectacular.

I was told the approach of unsampling at 10% increment at a time is no longer required in PSCS, as its Bicubic Smooth does a equally good job, if not better. Could someone confirm this?

The difficult part is "good result" is subjective, as both the viewing distance and actual content details (i.e. scenic shot or potrait?) are also important.

...was 4' x 6'.... but..

it was done on vinyl... the print shop blew it up and i do not know their process... the image was used for a banner at a trade show and it served its purpose well... it looked fine when viewing it from at least 10' away...

i recently saw a 20"x30" print from a D70 file that was being displayed along with every other form of prints out there... the quality of all of the images looked similar when viewed at a normal distance but when i went in for a close view on the d70 image (i.e. 8"), i could see some pixels... it was not bad at all and very acceptable to my eye...

i'm sure that the quality from a 13x19 printer would be great.. i'm actually eyeing one myself...

I could imagine inkjet coming out worse, as you generally have to have greater DPI for larger prints to maintain sharpness, on some Epson models at least from my first hand experience. I don't know if that is still the case with the newest printer models currently sold.

That's right. I tried myself and was amazed. Single upsize in PSCS (let say up to 400%) doing better job than resizing in small percent (5-10%).

I have just printed two 24x36 prints on canvas with the Epson 7600. Original files were nefs. Both images were bridal portraits. Used Photoshop to increase to final size. Very acceptable results. Client happy.

All generalities are false, including this one.
 
My friend has a very large Epson printer, and he printed a shot of a basketball game at 24" wide ....it was amazing.

He used GF Print Pro to expand it.

I've had good success with both lab and DJ 130 printing 20X30 and 24X36 landscapes. The quality is more than acceptable from the D70 for those sizes. This pic, for example, looks great at that size:

I've had excellent results once after using S-Spline and sharpening as the final step. It was a print, not inkjet. Size 50x75 cm.
