According to those who purchased the newer model, they do not care that yours is a pro camera and theirs is not. They do not care how many Mega/Giga/Tera-pixels your camera has, unless theirs has more. They could not care any less how fast your camera auto-focuses in complete darkness. It is not important if your camera can write at a Speed that Keanu Reeves cannot believe. They do not care if your camera can produce pictures that can be printed in sizes that modern photography has not found an alphanumeric naming convention for yet. The only thing that makes a difference is that their new camera has, or does something that yours does not, and the fact that they purchased it, so it must be the best, thus rendering yours obsolete!”

Thanks Kerry.

I'm not sure if you remember but you and I had discussions about the D-70 Vs the E-1 and I told you I was planning on selling the D-70. I got to thinking about it, and I decided to keep the D-70 and work through its shortcomings. I'm glad I did. The dust still drives me crazy, but I'm learning to deal with that too.
I like the first one a great deal. Nicely done.

Thanks Kerry.
You're welcome, Joe. Kudos well deserved, IMO.

Yes, I remember. They all have shortcomings, I don't care what camera you use. It's the photographer, not the camera. :-)

Those are better than just snapshots. But I think in the second one I would have cloned out the two black objects in the center of the picture and the sign in the lower right to make them great snapshots.

...but good pics.

I would realllly love it if the gate was closed on #2 ;-). Nice composition though

Nice shots. I don't get many snow pics in south Florida. Is the second picture tilted to the right slightly, or just my eye? It's one of my problems when I do landscapes, and I don't often. They always seem tilted slightly one way or the other. The house in yours looks to me like its tilted to the right. Can't tell if the gatepost is perfectly verticle or not. It's too short. I feel apologetic for being so picky. Just asking.

I think it is now that I look at it. Not sure, that's why I call them snapshots. I saw the scene, and I just grabbed my camera and took the shots from the best angle available. Thanks for pointing it out though.
