I have decided to buy the S-75 and looking for advice for the best price/reputation for online stores.
thanks

Check ecost.com, $628 free shipping, no tax. It may not be the best, but you will get ur cam in 4 business day after order.

Have you used ecost.com? What about concerns regarding grey market goods? I'm also looking for the best price on the DSC-S75.

I saw a note in this forum about getting it for $549 from Sears (on-line?) but of course the list price there shows for $699. I did get a quote from B&H Camera for $669.

I would avoind ecost. Their return policy is HORRIBLE, their reputation for taking order for items that are backorderd and then NEVER fulfulling the order is notorious. The charge a small fortune for handling, and their customer service reps are VERY rude.

Technet had their $519 price posted (around June 8) so I called to see if they had stock and was the price correct. I was told on the phone 'Yes'.

I printed their page, as Sears requested, and it was honored.

I have had high regard for Sears anyway over the years so I was not surprised. They are making a new effort in most regions in most of their stores. (very difficult)

They changed their policy to only honor established e-tailers.
But not everyone knows this at Sears so it's always worth to try.

Staple.com finally has it.. I got it price matched from them from a more reputable place. I got it delivered for 613.00 (with a $50 coupon).. So if you can get them to pricematch 599 with 50 coupon (plus local tax) then you are probably looking at $575. Damn.. and I just got it last week oh well.. I'll just have to peddle another couple of vials of crack to kids :)
You might try this link:

I think $544. might be the lowest online price.

Although I bought from Sears for $519. on price match.

Where did you get the coupon from?

Yeah it's a better deal than the sear pricematch and they deliver it out to you in a day or two.

Use 80147 for $50 off of $500

Too bad they didn't have the CD300

why not buy it at a Sears store, using their price matching policy? Do a search in this forum for 's75 sears price match', and you should find some info related to doing this. They'll match with the cheapest online price you can find, plus you have the satisfaction of knowing you bought it from Sears (if you consider Sears to be a reputable place to buy from....I do)

I've been trying Sears but, the on-line store is out of stock (till ??? they don't know) and the Sears brick/morter stores in my area don't have it in stock either (Bay area - tried Concord, Antioch, Oakland).

Best tip so far seems to be Staples. They appear to have it in stock and price match too.

I bought mine at Sparco.com. They price match weekdays, they have better in stock and most companies low ball camera price and charge out the yin yang for memory, lens, flash etc. They lowered the prices of the items I ordered and were very helpful with out of stock substitions.

I worked for an e-tailer and CompUSA in the past and I find a trade off between price and service. Sparco had the lowest prices that I felt comfortable with. Please don't get stung by online scam artists. Many companies advertise low prices, but don't ship for weeks, if ever.

I work for a major credit card company now and hear horror stories everyday about people stung on the web. A disputed charge can take 60-120 days to be resolved.

If you have any questions about Sparco, email Victor

The list is on sears.com (not interesting since all these charge pretty much).
But several people were still able to get pricematch from other dealers.

I wonder if you can return stuff to local staples store. Then this would be a good alternative.
