Hi,

Buried at work for the last couple of month, I don't have much time to participate in DPR nor have time and the mind for photography. Funny, when I'm buried at the deepest, photography brought me back to life :-).

I took this picture when I was almost broken down physically. It was 5 days consecutively my kids were really sick and I did not get more than 2 hrs of sleep every night. On the 5th night, I was so tired to a point my head spun like crazy. 6:30AM, can't sleep, I decided to take my camera out for a spin in a small town in Fort Smith, AR where I was visiting. It paid off. The fresh air gave me a fresh mind. The Sun just woke up while the fog on the water was about to escape. The beautiful scene flied me out to heaven.

This reminded me of what Shutter (Jim F) said a while back about finding time for your photography.

BTW, where are we with the technology? Is my F717 still "the best of the best" or Sony has released the F919 already? :-))

Hope all of you had a long and great holiday season.

Regards,

This is a beautiful painting. Yes, painting. Looks like the old masters of the oild and brush.

Don't worry about the technology too much - your picture proves it is of secondary concern.

I hope you get a lot of views on this as it is trully deserving.

Hope you and your family are back to 100%.

A very pretty picture, and the frame enhances it even more!

Take care,

What a cool shot neighbor.

My kid has recently gone through a bout of sickness but we're getting it under control now. Cheers and best wishes for your family from the Hill Country.

Thanks for your comment. Composition is my weakest point. Most of time, I just go by my feeling and don't even remember the technical rules :-)

Lance

You are absolutely right, a good frame always add value to the photograph. Artistic is all about how you present your work.

Thanks for your comments. I have not follow STF lately and I missed many of your beautiful shots.

Lance

No, I won't. I love the shot but hate the circumstance that led to it.

Thanks you for your comment. I'm glad you like it.

Lance

How are you now?

My son is 100% recovered, but my daughter is only about 80%. Kids + sickness = worst than nightmare.

Thanks for your comments and wishes.

Lance

You don't know how many times I've had to talk myself into it. Once out, it's so refreshing!

I can smell the fresh morning air in your photo....quiet solitude. Nice!

Lance, with an image like this it is obvious you have "the cutting edge" already.

Hope to see some more real soon.
